Despite growing up 5 minutes away from each other, attending neighboring high schools and the same college, Shannon & James finally met right before James's graduation from Lehigh in 2018. They continued to spend time together in their hometowns that summer and officially started dating in July! Once Shannon finished up her senior year in 2019, she moved to New York City to start her career, and James switched jobs shortly after to be in New York as well.

Throughout the years, Shannon and James have enjoyed spending time cooking together, trying new bars & restaurants, rooting on Philly sports teams, attending concerts for their favorite artists (especially Morgan Wallen & Zach Bryan!), catching up on reality TV shows (they love anything Bravo) and yearly trips to Nantucket & Sea Isle City with their families.

In March 2024, after 5 1/2 years together, Shannon & James took their first trip together to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where James proposed (after a 3-foot snowstorm, the largest of the year in Jackson) at the National Elk Refuge near Grand Teton National Park. They celebrated for the remainder of their trip & are so grateful to all their family and friends for the celebrations that followed!

After getting married & returning from their honeymoon, Shannon and James look forward to starting their next chapter together as husband and wife!
